Hey my Friend, welcome to Dslr landscape photography ! I believe that you are here for the reason of wanting to learn landscape photography. Introduction to DSLR Landscape photography

With the invention of DSLR , photographers can view their images instantly from the view finder. This gives landscape photographers a huge opportunity to improve their photography. When we dial in a setting and take a shot, the image will be shown instantly at the LCD monitor. This enables us to determine if the image was well taken. If not, dial another setting or correct the image immediately by adding filters and it’s ready for another shot. It gives us vast opportunities to create more creative landscape photographs.

What is landscape photography

Many times, people relate holiday trip with landscape photography. There is the different between taking picture during a holiday trip, and planning a trip for landscape photography. When you are on a holiday trip, you will shoot anything you see that is nice. However when taking landscape photography, you will choose a specific place, chose a right time, scout around for good spot and start shooting at different angles. This is why you will never get great landscape photographs when you on a holiday trip.

How landscape photography is different

Landscape photography is also very different from other type of photography. Take portrait photography for example, you can take portrait photographs anytime anywhere, and usually, you end up with a lot of different pictures. For landscape photography, we will scout around to decide what kind of message we want to convey to the viewers before composing the photographs.

Challenges face in landscape photography

When comes to landscape photography, before you go for your actual landscape shoot, you have to find out where are the places to go in order to capture beautiful photos. When you get there, many factors could hinder your shooting process. One of the challenges is the unpredictable weather. It can be your best friend or enemy.
